libauthen-passphrase-perl software package provides Perl module encapsulating hashed passwords/passphrases as objects, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libauthen-passphrase-perl
libauthen-passphrase-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libauthen-passphrase-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libauthen-passphrase-perl *
You will get with libauthen-passphrase-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
